PRIORITY: URGENT

]]~~!7@ -? ~~…been over this with all the appropriate redundancies. Review and peer assessment protocols were followed in full. Obviously, the lack of advanced intelligence support limits the full scope of that work, but necessity is necessity and we can't risk exposing thinking machines to this radiation. We've all witnessed and reviewed the symptoms of that mistake, and safeguarding what intelligence support we've retained in the aftermaths of all we've endured must remain a priority.

What our thorough reviews of existing data have reaffirmed is that nothing in our pre-colonization or active planetary geo-surveillance research indicated any threat to our historical understanding of physics. Tau Ceti IV, and every advance and on-hand reading of the planet and its solar system, fit neatly into our established physic models. There was simply no reason, beyond make-believe, to plan for, or even consider, disruptions to the foundations of Standard Model, Quantum Mechanics, and Relativity as we know them. There was absolutely zero indication of an existential threat to our grasp of how the universe functions to raise concerns for Tau Ceti IV as a viable long-term home. Yet, here we are.

Seriously, even with all of the copious, torturous detail with which this mission, its operation and its successful longevity was planned, nothing could have prepared us for an encounter with the truest form of impossibility—at least as far as the whole of scientific history and its principles had prepared us. Even the event—even the fate of the Marathon itself as one hell of an outlier to the functional integrity of the colony was, at least in hindsight, something we could have addressed in auxiliary threat contingencies. I mean, we know intelligent life exists in the universe if by no other calculation than we believe ourselves to be intelligent. But why on earth—or Mars or Tau Ceti IV—would anyone waste time with counter-planning a breakdown in the fundamental, universal fabric of reality? They wouldn't. Until now. Until this anomaly and all the wrenches it throws into the principles of existence.

Not to add to the tension, but how do imagine we will ever…(((.4.2~~!!00?—
