Colony Anomaly Research
ANALYZING…
FILE TYPE: UESC Research Records
PERIOD: Colony Era
TOPIC: TCIV Anomalous Energy Research Correspondence
SUMMARY: Fragment of a Colony Science Command field specialist's notes regarding active research in the Dire Marsh Anomaly site.
===================================================================
[[[[[[[[[[CLASSIFIED]]]]]]]]]]
TRANS. TYPE: Super-Coded
COMMS TYPE: Sci-Comm Internal
SUBJECT: RE: Ag site anomalous research
PRIORITY: URGENT
…still in the process of setting up the layered systems required to run the tests, but as of this morning the upper complex is repurposed for our needs. The equipment in the observation deck will need a test run once the backups are loaded and the facility's power supplies are properly routed, but we have assurances that all necessary work will be completed before the morning. First run remains on schedule.
Our goal is a light touch. We've seen the scaling of the data at the remote relay stations, and we cannot possibly reproduce that level of signal cycling with the Ag-Hub's set up. We know this. We are working within that understanding and focusing on surgical strikes as opposed to wholesale mapping of the Anomaly's patterns. Let's learn a little so we can learn to learn a lot.
Removing Darius helps in some ways. Vacating his core and partitioning him within a sealed logic capture removes him from any additional harm, but an unexpected side effect of that decision is that we can now utilize his core's processing as driver for these tests. With no intelligence to corrupt, the hope is we will get clean, if not confusing, readings channeled through the system with outputs we can study. Again, surgical strikes to pull reliable data with tangible properties we can study is the dream. Let's hope it doesn't all become another nightm…
